The grey boxes in front of the line mechanic are an example of the 12,000 volts (12kv) circuit breakers that control the distribution of power throughout the City. The entire City is served using 20 circuits which allows for the maintenance and troubleshooting on parts of the distribution system without disruption to the entire system.
