[ARCHIVED] Azusa Cools Off

The Senior Center will be open and staffed from 8:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Monday through Thursday and from 8:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. on Friday’s.

Memorial Park is staffed from 1:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Monday through Friday and 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. on Saturday and Sunday for anyone needing relief from the heat. Memorial Park recently installed a $135,000 heating and air conditioning system in the gymnasium.

The Library "Cooling Center" will operate during the regular Azusa Library hours, which are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M., Thursday from 10:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M., and Friday and Saturday from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.

In conjunction with the Office of Emergency Management, these buildings may be opened as cooling centers in the event that temperatures continue above 100 degrees Fahrenheit on an as needed basis.
